In high school I had many friends who got pregnant and as a result they dropped out of school. A few years ago I heard of some girls who became pregnant after prom and are now barely able to manage life at such a young age. It is very disturbing that this is reality. It bothers me when people say that what you watch or listen to doesn't affect how you think about a particular issue. The truth is that there are all kinds of movies out there inject all these ideas about sex to our kids. I do believe that parents have the greatest responsibility in monitoring what their kids are watching and taking steps in making sure that their kids have a proper moral view about intimate relationships. I have seen time and time again how women are emotional destroyed because they gave themselves in to physical impulse. Most of them deeply regret their decision, but unfortunately they can't change the past. I think it's time that we take a strong stance against all the junk that is fed into our kids and take drastic measures like getting rid of the TV...at least for starters.
